What it is: An assigned project surrounding a public company of our choosing, with an aim of providing sources of long-term sustainable competitive advantage. This 140+ slide presentation was presented in roughly 55 minutes, followed by a 35 minute Q&A session to a board of business owners. We built a functional site as a hypothetical launch of our recommendation, entailing details such as a stockholder letter and new modules for training. As a team, we decided our objective of this program was to increase customer loyalty and customer perceived value by providing value-adding services through CRM data collection/management. By eliminating current partnerships, intermediaries in our service supply chain are no longer needed and therefore we can take advantage of directly working with the best and most loyal customers.
What I learned: Project management skills, team collaboration, detailed design
What I would have done differently: If I had the chance to work longer on this project, I would increase the scope to run initial trials internationally and analyze whether it would be successful given political and legal factors.
